Aztec Dreamer is the personal enterprise of Simon, Aztec Dreamer's Chief Designer. Based in Southwark, Central London Aztec Dreamer is available for projects anywhere in the world.
Simon Says: I built Aztec Dreamer a few years ago, in order to give myself a vehicle to promote my skills and services via the web. As time's gone by the website has undergone 3 major revisions, to the finalised version you see now which I'm extremely proud of. I feel it's really important to lead by example, and hence why I insist on the site being as good as it can be. I also wanted it to reflect to potential clients just what it is possible to achieve, rather then settling for second best, or the ordinary. At Aztec Dreamer our design ethos and philosophy simply doesn't allow for anything less.
What does Aztec Dreamer Actually mean?
To us, it is a person that Dreams Aztec Dreams. The Aztec Dream is the essence of the Aztec Dreamer philosophy. The Aztec dream is the most beautiful dream of all, vivid, rich, boundless, full of creativity and possibility and untapped potential. It has no limitations and no inhibitions. It is whatever you want it to be. The Aztec connection derives from the lost civilisation of the Aztecs who for their time were one of the most advanced and powerful civilisations, but whose world and beliefs focused around hungry gods, earthly kings, bountiful riches and prophetic visions of high priests, and intoxicating feasts. It is a lost time now, consigned to the realm of imagination and historical record. It is these factors that make the Aztec Dream so enchanting. It requires a new way of thinking, and almost a new way of imagining.
When I designed Aztec Dreamer, I realised that I needed a logo that could somehow do justice to the concept and be true to all it's underlying ideals. After all what better challenge for the Aztec Dream then to achieve such a feat. I think you'll probably agree the finished design is a fitting tribute and representation of this fascinating concept, and is now a guiding light in everything that is Aztec Dreamer.
